Wreck Beach is a nude beach under the bluffs to the west of UBC (the University of British Columbia). Next to the gay part of the beach was a shrubby area where there was a lot of cruising. Deep therein, right up against the cliffs, was this tiny, freezing waterfall. Gary and I often cycled to Wreck Beach on Sundays; he was sufficiently mellow a man to sunbathe, but I needed to chatter continuously ... so we preferred to bring friends lest my incessant monologue drive him nuts.
