This photo was taken at the American Uniform Association Annual Review in Los Angeles, September, 1993; Robin is in the Captain's uniform, I am in the Marine Gunnery Sergeant uniform. Robin died less than a month later at his own hand. He set himself up in his bed facing out the window of his studio high above Stanley Park; he consumed the requisite drugs, and then topped them off with a chocolate eclair. Even as he died, Robin displayed the courage and nobility that was his trademark.
